常規單詞積累一定要集中在2016考研英語復習的前期，否則到了復習后期無論是2016考研英語閱讀的復習還是翻譯的復習，都會遇到困難。同時，單詞記憶不能只記中文釋義，要掌握其常見用法、固定搭配，并且在能力范圍內利用詞根觸類旁通。2016考研英語對于詞匯的考查主要體現在考生“同義替換”的能力上，也就是考查考生對于語言多樣性的把握，所以考生在背單詞的時候一定要掌握單詞的同義詞。

Supervise

V.管理，監督

【例】The chief clerk supervise the work of the department.部門組長負責監督該部門的工作。

【構詞】super-(超，上)+vis(看)+e →在上面看著 →監督，管理

【同義替換】monitor, control, superintend, police

【派生】supervision n.管理，監督 supervisee n.被監督者 supervisor n.監督者

【真題】In 1924 America’s National Research Council sent two engineers to supervise a series of industrial experiments at a large telephone-parts factory called the Hawthorne Plant near Chicago.

Organic

A.器官的;有機的;根本的

【例】A living organism would take in the radioactive carbon and convert it to organic material.有生命的有機體會吸收放射性的碳元素，并把它轉化為有機物。

【同義替換】fundamental, radical, underlying

Orient

N.東方，亞洲 v.使朝東，為……定位，使適應

【例】We must orient our products to the needs of the market.我們必須使我們的產品適應市場的需要。

【構詞】ori(升起)+ent →太陽升起的地方 →東方

【同義替換】adapt, condition, suit

【派生】oriental a.東方的 orientation n.方向，定位;適應，熟悉情況

【真題】Anthropology is a field-study oriented discipline which makes extensive use of the comparative method in analysis.

人類學是注重實地研究的學科，并在分析中廣泛運用相對法。
