二、長難句訓練題解析

參考譯文：對(智力)這個詞所指的不同表現人們意見比較一致，而對這些表現如何解釋或分類則有不同看法。

2、結構分析：本句考查的是not so much A as B這一比較句型。這里的平行結構時兩個介詞短語：through the insights of great men of genius和because of more ordinary things like improved techniques and tool，在這里做狀語，修飾謂語move forward。

參考譯文：他們說，科學的發展與其說源于天才偉人的真知灼見，不如說源于改進了的技術和工具等更為普通的東西。
